Everything you need to know about Nightjet trains
Nightjet is ÖBB's (Austrian Federal Railways) network of night trains connecting major European cities. Routes include Vienna–Venice, Zurich–Berlin, Munich–Rome, and many more. Nightjet offers seats, couchettes, and private sleepers.

It depends on the fare tier. Sparschiene is non-refundable. Sparschiene Komfort and Standard tickets are refundable with conditions and fees. Check ÖBB's terms at time of booking.
Each passenger can bring up to 2 pieces of luggage (max 23 kg each) plus 1 small item. Additional luggage may incur fees. There's also storage space for bulky items like skis or bicycles on certain routes.
WiFi availability varies by route and train generation. Many newer Nightjet services offer WiFi in seating areas, but connectivity can be limited in rural areas. Check the specific train details when booking.
Small pets in carriers are usually allowed in standard class. Larger dogs may require a reservation in couchette or sleeper compartments. Service animals travel free. Rules vary by country and train type.
The basic ticket covers your journey. Couchettes and sleepers include bedding. Some fares include a welcome drink in the sleeper. Meals are available for purchase in the dining car or can be pre-ordered.
